To my Dr. B.,  You have started orientation this week for R.E.S.I.D.E.N.C.Y. Wahooo!!! We both know you will be busy, and we both know that we have no concept of how busy you will be, but nonetheless, I am excited that you are starting the next phase in our lives! Here's to less boring orientation lecturers today and that Friday will come quickly!
To South Korea, You will be in the U.S. shortly! Can't believe it is finally here, although I know that you and Mrs. South Korea can! Here's to a traveling adventure back to your homeland (although I hope nothing too exciting) and here's to flights that have lots of seats available...I praying!
To Long Dog, Since coming home from Sweden, I have tried something new with you in the mornings...going on a walk before I leave for work. Since this is before work, I walk quickly, begging you to hurry up, anxious to get home and leave on time. Thank you, Long Dog, for helping me remember to relax, stroll, and smell the flowers...literally. And even though we walk the exact same route everyday, thank you for reminding me that it can be a completely new and exciting adventure! You are really the best dog a girl could ask for.
To Handsome Hubby, You met all of your "interns" last week and I'm thrilled that you are getting along with them. Enough at least, to ask all the time: "can I go hang out with my new friends?"...okay okay, maybe its "can I go hang out with the other interns?". Sometimes it feels as if I'm the mother of an elementary schooler who has just started a new grade and wants to go hang out with their new classmates. Even with your long hours ahead, I hope you never get tired of the people you will work with for the next 5 years.

P.S. Dead Tree consuming the backyard, I get off at 4pm. You better be gone when I get home...or else!

To my Mr. B., We made it home. Totals = 25+ hours of flight time, 9+ hours of train riding, 6 different airports, 4 vacations, 4 new passport stamps, 3 countries (not including the US), 1+ incredible month of traveling, and an uncountable number of memories made (and countless cups of coffee too!). I can't think of a better way to have spent the last bit of free time you have before residency begins. I love you. Thank you.
To the Swede and Pig, Thanks for being such incredible hosts while we visited you this last week. We loved every minute of it! Your wedding was beautiful, Stockholm was exciting, and I don't think I have ever ridden on so many different modes of transportation in that short of an amount of time (plane, train, car, subway, more trains, boat, and airport bus... only missed traveling by helicopter!). Congratulations newlyweds and may you have a wonderful time in Scotland!
To the neighbor's fallen tree, You have filled our backyard with mangled limbs, debris, a new large sunny spot in canopy of trees (see below), and a completely crushed carport. The severe storm from earlier this week really did you in, and you certainly surprised us when we arrived home. 2 years and 2 trees... let's hope this is the last of them.
R.I.P. Carport, You did well protecting our cars from branches, falling leaves, and the acorns the squirrels throw at us. I'm sorry you were sacrificed for the well being of the rest of the yard (and the Jeep!). It was purely divine intervention that Handsome Hubby didn't park the Jeep under your shade while we are on vacation. Rest in peace.
To my travel companion, Over the last two months, we have watched more movies on airplanes than I can even count due to our overseas traveling. What I loved the most? When we were privileged to have our own movie screen in the headrest in front of us, we picked what movie to watch and started them at exactly. the. same. time... :) Thanks for watching "with" me.

To Mama Ne'(aka "The Birthday Girl"), HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you enjoyed your celebration dinner tonight with the family (minus a few...) and I can't wait to celebrate with you at the dessert party at Weathergirl's house! May the Lord bless you with a wonderful wonderful year ahead. A girl could not ask for a better Mama!
To Long Dog, The other day I spilled a box of dry spaghetti in the kitchen. Although I thought I got all of the pieces, you are constantly chewing on "sticks" around the house. And who would have thought that the dog who doesn't like tree limbs/branches/sticks from the yard would choose to chew on dry spaghetti?! Maybe it tastes better... You make my days a little bit brighter!
To our Devoted Readers, Tomorrow we begin the process of getting to Sweden for the celebration of the Swede marrying Pig. We are so excited! Look for a photo/blog recap of our travels when we return next week! We will miss you all!
To Handsome Hubby, The eye docs put you on steroids to help with the healing process from LASIKs. You warned me that they could make you irritable, but as it turns out, they just make you more funny. Here's to finishing steroids soon, feeling 100%, seeing 20/20, and filling up your Peanut-Butter-Odometer, which you apparently have... You know how to make me laugh! :)

To my Mr. B., Thanks for buying a new sprinkler for our yard. Watering it more often has really made all the difference since we haven't had rain in a while and it is always amazing to see how much our thirsty yard appreciates a little extra (and now you can really see the difference...in 20/20!). The new sprinkler is so nice, it waters everything from the street to the front door. Literally...
To Ray Ray, and Mrs. South Korea, Can't be happier that I filled the extra moments in my weekend with children's movies. I had a blast at the outdoor showing of How to Train Your Dragon, plus an awesome visit to the $2 theater to watch Rio (makes me want to visit Brazil!). Thanks to all of you for making it that much more enjoyable! :)
P.S. Mrs. South Korea, I loved shopping with you on Saturday! Nothing like an afternoon together at the mall...especially when Handsome Hubby is sleeping off the after effects of LASIKs. And, I am absolutely positive that Mr. South Korea is going to LOVE your new dress.
To Mama Ne, Pilot Papa, Weathergirl, and Hurricane Hunk, T minus 3 days until Nan Day! :) Can't wait to see you all and I'm so excited to show off Blue (Handsome Hubby nixed "Cliff"). I know Long Dog is super extra about seeing Dingo Dog, White dog, and Sadie Girl.
To my church family, The Lord has truly blessed me with such a wonderful Augusta family. Thank you for all of your encouragement, support, and friendships over the last four years. As much as it is hard to be far away from our biological families, we are so thankful to have all of you in our lives! We I have to go to church by myself, I always know I won't sit alone. :) Here's to 5 more wonderful years.
To my travel buddy, It's our last adventure before residency...Sweden. You finally get to practice all of your "Swedish." Try not to embarrass the Swede (or me either...).   :) I love you! T minus 4 days until the plane flies!

To my Mr. B., Yesterday you had LASIK surgery and I got to "watch" it on the tv screen in the waiting room. Its amazing that I can work with blood and organs all day long in the lab, but I get queasy when it comes to eye balls. Here's to seeing 20/20, no longer ordering boxes and boxes of contacts, or becoming motion sick from your glasses! Are you up for a glasses crushing party?!
To the Swede, Happy Birthday (because afterall, it is already Saturday where you are)!!! I know with the wedding coming up next weekend you won't be celebrating your birthday that much, but I hope that you have an incredible day nonetheless. Can't wait to see you next week!
To the weekend, You are finally here. You've arrived just in time! Looking forward to How to Train Your Dragon (thanks Mrs. South Korea! I had a blast!), a baby shower, spending time with Handsome Hubby, skyping with the Swede, and all that much closer to traveling across the pond. Wahoo!
To Goggles-Man, When you left the eye clinic, they gave you cool goggles to wear for 24 hours (and every night to sleep in for the next 7 days). They remind me of the Red Baron's aviator flying goggles. Now all you need is a scarf and a leather bomber jacket. I dare you to wear your goggles when you sleep on the flight to Sweden...

Instead of crushing them, does anyone know where you can donate old prescription lens and/or frames?

To my Mr. B., Get out your passport! We're adding more stamps! I love you and am so thankful that we get to have one last vacation together before residency begins. Can't wait!
To the Coffee Maker, Sometimes the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning is the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Thank you for that simple pleasure. :)
To Long Dog, Apparently leaving our house vacant and completely still for a whole month increases the inside insect population significantly...thanks for stepping up your game. I am a proud Mama when I find only dead roaches because you have already squished them! Thank you for all the ways you are my Protector Dog. And thank you Handsome Hubby for cleaning up the dead bugs.
To the Swede (and Pig too!), You are getting married in t minus 10 days. Handsome Hubby and I are so excited that we are going to be able to be there to celebrate with you on your special day! :) We can't wait to see you!
To Weathergirl, You are one of a few select people to read my blog everyday. This makes my heart smile. Just saying...
To the boy in a man's body, I woke up in the middle of the night last night to find you still playing video games, almost 5 hours after I went to bed. Better enjoy sleepless nights of game playing because shortly it will be sleepless nights of call at the hospital! :)

To Long Dog, We have been home from our month of traveling for a week. You may have stayed at other destinations than Handsome Hubby and I, but I know you had a blast. You LOVED the beach, hanging out with the White Dog and Dingo Dog, and spending a whole week with Granny D! Now home seems boring to you...here's to finding something especially exciting to keep you occupied! Maybe a new toy?
To Weathergirl, Thanks for teaching us how to play Three-Rounds-In-A-Hat while on the house boat! I have already tried to convince several couples in our small group that we should get together and play sometime. I hope it will be just as fun as it was when we played with you! I'll let you know how it goes. We have become known as the "Game Couple". I guess there could be worse things.
To the Summer Heat, One word: HOT. But alas, I will escape you soon and seek solace in the countryside of Sweden (with highs in the mid 70s!). Hallelujah!
To the prankster I'm married to, I went to the movies with Ray Ray last night, and while searching my purse for a piece of gum, I found a yucky, gummy-feeling fishing lure instead. Gross. What's worse?- this is the second time you have managed to put it in my purse. Laughs are over. I'm throwing it away.

To my Mr. B., As it turns out you're an avid reader! You have read more books (unassigned, non-medical-text books) this month and a half than I have ever seen you read. What a difference no Medical school makes! :) Too bad they don't count in the Rainbow Reader program anymore...surely you would have earned a free Six Flags pass by now!
To Savvy Sarah, A while back you told us about the furniture tent sale on Washington Road that happens every June. We have called at least once a month since then to make sure we had the correct start date: T.O.D.A.Y.  I'm totally not kidding when I say that Handsome Hubby will be there before it opens to make sure we can get the best graduation-gift leather recliner possible. Thanks to Weathergirl and Hurricane Hunk for supporting the cause.
To the SGI Vacation Clan, I loved being at the beach with you all. The weather was beautiful, the company was perfect...we really enjoyed ourselves! Many wonderful memories made and lots of laughter to be had. I promise the picture of all of us pretending to smoke with the old fashioned gum "cigarettes" will never be made public. :) We almost had PawPaw convinced they were real!
To my Crafty Side, You rocked another Diaper Cake. This should really become a side business. Wonder if anyone will ask this time when the cake will be ready to cut. Yes, some one really wanted to eat one of my other cakes...
To my Handsome Hubster, Yesterday you helped with dinner and you cut out one of the paper flowers for the diaper cake. I appreciate you more than you know. I will truly miss all the time you spend at home once you start residency.
