To my Dr. B., Over the last week, you have come home with increasingly more pronounced "scrub-cap hair". I know that you have had a great day in the O.R. when you come home with this hair-do...there is just nothing else quite like it. I know that all this O.R. time has really paid off! Congrats on having the fastest port time out of all the residents...and here I thought you were a PGY-1!
To Banker Boy, Thanks for taking time out of your crazy busy day last week to eat lunch with me! I can't believe that a midtown condo owning, billion dollar portfolio analyzing, almost 24-year-old still orders chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream when we go to J. Christopher's. I love it that that has become "our place" when I come visit you in the Big City.
To Dingo Dog, You certainly gave us a scare this weekend when you had another seizure. I'm so glad that Weathergirl and Hurricane Hunk are taking good care of you and I hope that the new medicine works to keep you seizure-free!
To this ridiculous Georgia Heat, I'm ready for fall...although I know it won't last but about a week, in which case, I'm ready for "winter".
To my Handsome Hubby, I appreciate you- your caring attitude, the passion you have for your patients, the strength of your faith, the willingness to take care of me when I'm under the weather, your glass-half-full outlook, your leadership in our marriage, your desire to spend time with family...and oh, so much more! Thank you for being such an awesome source of support and encouragement to me and many others!

To my Dr. B., One week down! We won't mention how many more to go. I know it is hard, I know it is exhausting, I know some people are unkind, but I also know that God has prepared you for this! Lord, give him the strength he needs to get through everyday. Give him the courage he needs to be an advocate for his patients. Give him the energy he needs to accomplish what you would have him accomplish. And Father, remind him that this is your purpose and plan for him. May he have the favor of the attendings and the other residents, and may you heal those patients under his care!
To Long Dog, The other day I took advantage of Petsmarts' sale and spoiled you with a new squeaky toy and the Kong wobbler. Honestly, I wasn't sure if you would be brave enough to play with this new toy, which requires you to push it around as it wobbles to get the treats out. As I expected, I spent the day "showing you" how to do it, and you mainly barked and whined at it. Then Handsome Hubby came home and you were suddenly an expert...boy, you had me fooled! Not only are you plenty smart enough (and brave enough!) to play with this new toy, you are smart enough to convince this Mama that I need to do it for you...
To my Snapple Tea lids, Thank you for your needless fun-facts that are on the underside of all of your bottle caps. You help me fill my head with even more unless (albeit, interesting) tidbits of information. Today, I learned that left handed people are more likely to chew their food the the left side of their mouth (right handers chew on their right side). I wonder what side I chew on? Knowing me, I probably make sure I chew equally on both sides, subconsciously of course...
To Handsome Hubby, Yesterday evening we went on a walk with Cooper to spend some time as a family and to walk off some of the stress of your new medical career. Instead of just doing our usual walk around the block, we decided to go the "long way." Just as we were rounding the corner, your sandal broke, which left your left foot shoeless. Yet, you continued the walk...one shoe on, one shoe off. Way to commit. And thank you for always supplying comic relief.

To my hard-working Dr. B., Residency has officially begun. Early morning hours, long busy days, almost never time for breakfast or lunch (and very late dinners), and a completely new electronic ordering/records system...and somehow you are still staying positive. That's my trooper! I'm so proud of you.
To my new job, So far it has been an easy transition and although I'm only about to finish the first week, I think it's going pretty smoothly. Best thing so far?: I have Mondays off.... Wahoo!! On another note: Lord, may I become desensitized to grossness of brain tumors quickly!
To Weathergirl, My bobble-head Buzz has found a home atop the window sill of my new work "home" (next to the family picture calendar), sans computer, but hopefully I'll manage. Next time you come, I'll have to give you a tour of my new lab and the new view.
To my Loyal Readers, My apologies that I have not kept up with the blog over the last couple of days...Handsome Hubby and I both started new jobs and we are still go through the transitions of new schedules, etc. I hope to return to my normalish blogging schedule very soon! :) P.S. We made it to 50 posts!
To my thoughtful hubbster, As a new resident, you were gifted with an iPad2. "What will you do with two iPads?" I asked. To which you responded, "I have one iPad(2) and you have one iPad." Two words: SO. EXCITED. Who knew you would spend all your birthday money on the newest gadget a year ago, only to give it away to me?! I love you.

To my PGY-1 Intern Dr. B., Starting today, you are officially a working, wage-earning, soon-to-be-very-tired resident! This morning, you got all of your stuff together, put on your white coat, started heading out the door, and realized your white coat could look better. So, you got out the ironing board, the iron, and the starch, convinced you could make your white coat look its best. I don't think I realized how stressed/anxious you were about your first day until you nearly panicked when a few rust stops appeared on the front chest! Glad I was around to help you get them out!
To South Korea, You are arriving in Atlanta TODAY! Hoping your flight(s) go well and smoothly. We are so excited that you are coming home!
To Weathergirl,  I love you! Thank you for always sharing in the excitement going on in my life. Last day of my job today, new job starts Tuesday! Thanks for your support and encouragement through all of the transitions ahead...can't wait for some quality sister-bonding once Handsome Hubby starts getting really busy.
To the kindest man I know, The other day at the grocery store while I was preoccupied with coupons, you made friends with the older couple self-checking out behind us. Their bananas lacked a sticker, to which you replied "You're in luck, I eat a lot of bananas. The number is 4011." :) Hilarious! When we finally left the store, you turned and waved and wished them a wonderful evening. If you didn't have such a promising medical career ahead, that grocery store might have hired you on the spot!
